The word backstage as to why Michael Cole is getting such a push of late is that Vince McMahon loves the way that he plays his character and delivers the messages that creative wants delivered. Cole is set to appear on Smackdown as a way to help get over what the company wants to get over on the show as the move to SyFy is very important to them and they want to establish the show on its new network as strongly as possible. There are some people saying that it is related to how Todd Grisham delivers play-by-play while others are saying that is only a small part of it and getting the storylines over (including Cole's) is the primary reason for his appearances on the show.

Michael Cole is expected to be appearing on Smackdown more often in addition to RAW. Vince McMahon is pretty high on the outspoken commentator at the moment and feels that he would help establish the show on SyFy, which is very important to the company right now with its move to a new network. The way Cole effectively delivers messages from creative and the way he plays his on-air character are things that have pleased McMahon recently.

As mentioned earlier, Todd Grisham is not so over with McMahon right now and some feel that’s another reason for Cole’s move.

I love Cole. When someone is so awful, it's good, just like Mike Adamle.

Adamle was great becasue he really didnt know what he was talking about 99.99% of the time. Cole acts like he knows everything but in fact doesnt know shit. Adamle didnt know what peoples names were let alone what the moves are. All ole knows is Vintage (insert name), and finishers
