Hulk Hogan has undergone surgery after injuring his back while collecting seashells.
TMZ reports that the procedure took place yesterday and the pro wrestler is currently in "a lot of pain" as he begins his recovery at a Florida hospital.
A source close to Hogan said that he had a spinal chord stimulator inserted under the skin to alleviate the pressure of chronic back pain.
The insider also noted that despite the physical pain, the TNA star is "upbeat" about the surgery's success.
Hogan is expected to released from the hospital "soon".
