Legendary flyer Edouard Carpentier passed away over the weekend in Quebec, Canada. He was 84 years old.

The RDS sports network in Canada reports that Professional Wrestling Hall of Fame legend Edouard Carpentier died aged 84 on Saturday. Carpentier's career that spanned the 1950s into the 1970s in which he held NWA World Heavyweight Championship among many other major titles.

After his wrestling career he become a baby face commentator alongside Guy Hauray and hosted the French edition of WWF Superstars during the 1980s

He was the oldest surviving former NWA World Heavyweight Champion.
