Edge got on the mic and said that the champ is here, and the former champion, not so much. Some of us may have heard about a little incident earlier today, but first he wants to tell us a little story. This story is about a champion. He said he’s been stressed out lately, and he has to defend the WWE Title against John Cena at SummerSlam, and he came lose his belt on a disqualification on Cena’s home turf of Boston. Edge said tonight he has to defend the title against Carlito tonight. He said he needed a break, and took a little trip. They went up to West Newberry, Massachusetts, the hometown of John Cena. Edge said to roll the footage. Cena’s house is shown on the Tron, and then Edge and Lita are shown inside. Edge went through a wardrobe of Cena’s stuff and made a joke about there wrestling boots being there, yet Cena can’t wrestle. Edge wiped his nose on a Larry Bird jersey. Photos are shown of Cena as a youth. They went into a family room and looked at the Cena wall of crap. Cena’s father comes in and looks angered. The audio was down as Edge was commentating on the video live. Edge said to pause the video. Edge said he told Cena’s dad that he was going to beat Cena to within an inch of his life at SummerSlam, and there’s nothing anyone can do about it. We go back to the video with Edge saying they are leaving, and then Edge knocked Cena’s dad down with a slap and left. The footage was shown in slow motion. Ross and Lawler commentated on how reprehensible and pathetic it was. Edge said Cena is at home consoling his dad right now. Edge said that at WrestleMania 21 when he won the Money in the Bank Ladder Match, then beat Cena at New Years Revolution for the title, followed by live sex celebrations and the highest ratings that RAW has seen in five years. At Royal Rumble, Cena beat Edge for the WWE Championship but the story doesn’t end there. Edge won a Triple Threat Match to win his second WWE Championship, and now Cena is home with his dad after Edge bitch slapped him. Edge said usually the good guy wins, but this is the real world. This story is going to have a happy ending, but it is going to be for Edge.

Foley said he will take part in the complete and utter destruction of the career of Ric Flair. Foley said he has been busted open four times in WWE, and he guarantees that he won’t bleed at SummerSlam. He said Flair is an easy bleeder and he will leave him wallowing in his own blood. It’s Diva Search time and Mike Mizanin in the ring, and we are down to the final four; Jen, Layla, Milena and JT. It’s elimination time and three of them will move onto the finals on Wednesday in New York, but one of them is going home tonight…and it’s Milena. Milena leaves the ring and Jen, Layla and JT are in the finals. Mizanin said that the three of them will take on three WWE Divas in a Beat the Heat Water Fight. Out came the Diva’s, and they are Candice Michelle, Torrie Wilson and Victoria. The ring is being filled with buckets of water, water guns, and water balloons. There’s a line in the middle, and neither team can drop it. The team that makes the other team the wettest will win the competition. They toss water at each other. Ross calls Miz an idiot before asking the fans who won and the Diva’s got the loudest cheer. They all went after Miz and got him soaked. The live Diva Search finals air this Wednesday at 9/8 CT on the USA Network.

A video package airs looking at all the legends that Randy Orton has killed thus far in his career, and he hopes to continue that this Sunday at SummerSlam when he takes on Hulk Hogan.

Backstage:
D-Generation X are shown walking in the back, and they are headed towards the arena as we go to commercial break.

In the arena:
The music of D-Generation X hit in the arena as Shawn Michaels and Triple H made their way out to the ring to a huge reaction. Triple H got on the mic and does the “are you ready” bit. Michaels took the mic and said that the last couple of weeks have been a little rough for DX. Michaels said as he was sitting in the clink last week, he thought to himself that Vince and Shane McMahon have forgotten one very important thing about DX. He said that there has always been two things that have separated them from everyone else in the business. First, they have always done what they want, when they want. They have a tendency to focus on McMahon’s appetite for…Michaels then showed the new “Vince loves Cock” t-shirt. The music of Shane McMahon then hit in the arena as he came out to the stage, followed by Vince McMahon and a bunch of police. Shane took the mic and said they are right, they are known for two things. They are known for sophomoric pranks, but they are also known for getting systematically taken out by the McMahon’s. Shane then takes us to footage from the past two weeks with the McMahon’s having their way with DX after respective beatings from Umaga. Vince says that SummerSlam is the biggest party of the summer, and after SummerSlam, they are going to be partying down, but DX’s party will be over. The fans chanted “you suck cock” at Vince. Vince said that collectively they have made quite a name for themselves, but you want to talk about big names, the name that will go down in the annuls of time, and that name is simply McMahon. Vince said as they stand in the ring, they have to ask what kinds of resources they have. They have each other. The McMahon’s have unlimited resources. If they want someone from RAW at their side, then it will happen at the snap of his fingers. They can even bribe police officers. At SummerSlam, the McMahon’s will bring down the wrath of Satan upon DX. Triple H cut McMahon off. Triple H said he knows that McMahon is going to say “No Chance in Hell” and leave them standing. Triple H said he wants to remind him who they are. The Heart Break Kid, Shawn Michaels and the Game, Triple H. Together, they are Vince’s worst nightmare, they are D-Generation X, and at SummerSlam they are going to kick their ass. Triple H said Vince can bring anyone he wants, they don’t care. You want to bring the 82nd airborne, they don’t care. You want to bring Satan himself…they will look the Devil dead in the eye, spit in his face and tell him that they have two words for him…SUCK IT.

Outside the arena:
Footage is shown of outside the arena, and we are still awaiting the arrival of Hulk Hogan.

Another video package hyping the return of Jeff Hardy aired, and he will debut next Monday!

Backstage:
The McMahon’s are backstage and Armando comes in. He says that he heard they are having a big party at SummerSlam. Vince asked why he was here. Armando said he heard they were looking for some resources, and he has just the resource, maybe they have heard of him…the undefeated Samoan Bulldozer, Umaga. Umaga then came in screaming.

Backstage:
Carlito is backstage with Trish. Trish said she wants Carlito to kick Edge’s ass tonight. Carlito then kissed Trish. Trish said that’s cool, and Carlito said damn right it is as we go to commercial.

Non Title Match
Carlito vs. Edge (c)
Referee: Jack Doan

The music of Carlito hit in the arena as he made his way to the ring with Trish Stratus, and he is out for revenge on Edge here tonight after he speared Trish last week on RAW. WWE Champion Edge then made his way to the ring with the brand new Women’s Champion, Lita.

Carlito scored with a scoop slam on Edge and then a nice leg drop for a near fall. Edge came back with a shot to the gut and then worked over the back of Carlito. Edge back dropped Carlito the apron but Carlito then sent Edge head first into the corner and then came off the top with a moonsault on Edge for two when Lita put Edge’s foot on the rope. Lita pulled Edge to the outside as we go to commercial. Back on RAW and Edge is in control of Carlito. During the break, Carlito came off the top rope but Edge hit a mid air dropkick. Edge locked in a bear hug on the mat on Carlito as the fans got behind the man from Puerto Rico. Carlito fought out with elbows but then Lita grabbed his foot on the outside. Trish decked Lita on the outside and then Carlito took over on Edge. Carlito hit the running knee lift and then a clothesline followed by the springboard back elbow for two.

The Finish:
Carlito did a springboard flip off the middle rope and then nailed a huricanrana into a pin for two. Edge came back with the Edge-O-Matic for a near fall. Edge signalled for the spear and went for it but Carlito leapfrogged it. Carlito went for the back cracker but Edge reversed and hit the spear. John Cena then hit the ring out of nowhere and hammered away at Edge like a man possessed. Security is trying to stop Cena and Edge is trying to escape through the crowd but Cena catches him and hammers away at him some more as security grab Cena and Edge escapes.

Winner: No Contest

In the arena:
The music of the Legend Killer Randy Orton hit in the arena as he made his way down to the ring, and he is reportedly here to call out Hulk Hogan. Orton said he has waited all night, and given Hogan plenty of time to show up and face him like a man. Where’s he at? Orton said one word can describe Hogan’s decision not to show tonight, and that is smart. Orton said if Hogan showed up tonight, the same thing would happen to him that has happened to every legend who has crossed his path. We then go to a video package of Orton and his Legend Killing exploits. Orton said he has a little secret to share with him. Hulk Hogan is the inspiration that caused him to become the Legend Killer in the first place. He used to watch Hogan as a kid, the same old song and dance, and all these idiots would chant his name. He just didn’t get it, so he told himself back then that one day he would be the man who killed Hulkamania. He would be the man who destroyed Hulkamania forever, so it’s needless to say that he’s been looking forward to this Sunday for a long time. This Sunday he kills the biggest legend that there ever was. Orton asked if Hogan really wanted Hulkamania to end this way…Hulk Hogan’s music then hit in the arena and Orton looked worried, but it was the Hogan Impersonator. The Impersonator grabbed the mic and said that Orton is right. He said that it’s not because he’s the Legend Killer, it’s because he’s got the bad knee from the couch accident and he’s really tired, and the main thing is that he’s a junior senior citizen, so what you gonna do when he soils himself in the ring all over you, brother…Hogan’s music hit for a second time and out came the real Hogan. Orton stomped Hogan as he entered the ring but with little effect. Hogan hit a series of right hands and then a big boot to the face to send Orton packing.
