ABC has revealed plans to air a new "high adventure" reality show called Expedition Impossible.
The network has announced that the new series from Mark Burnett will feature teams of three working to solve problems as they race across a variety of landscapes including deserts, mountains and rivers.
Executive producer Burnett has described the program, which will take place over ten legs, as an "epic Indiana Jones-style experience".
A statement from network executives teased that viewers could expect an "incredibly fun show which is equal parts extreme competition, teamwork and strategy, featuring unique landscapes and different cultures".
Casting for Expedition Impossible is currently under way. An air date has yet to be announced.
