The dust is finally starting to settle on the most important weekend in CZW history, and judging by the turnout and the reaction of the local fans, our International return could not have possibly gone any better! The warm reception from the incredible fans of Germany, and the fans who made the trip from the United States was overwhelming, and the entire CZW roster and staff wants to extend a very humble THANK YOU for all of your support. In addition, a huge THANK YOU goes out to our wonderful hosts from wXw Germany for their hospitality and help in putting these two very important shows together. We can't thank you enough, and we couldn't have done it without you. We can't to return the favor again in April when wXw returns to South Philly! (Details below).
Because of the overwhelming response, CZW is very proud to announce that a date has been signed for the Combat Zone to return to Germany in 2011! This time... we're gonna stay a little longer. The Combat Zone will return for three big shows, from October 1-3rd, 2011, and will once again bring the best and most Ultraviolent that the dub has to offer. We can't wait, and we hope you're coming with us!
Now... onto the action... CZW rocked Oberhausen on Saturday night. Among the major highlights were a technical masterpiece between Adam Cole and Zak Sabre Jr, Jon Moxley surviving a great back and forth match with Danny Havoc, a Strong-Style classic between Sami Callihan and MASADA and Drake Younger's triumph in a brutal brawl over Nick Gage. In addition, Drake again showed his true colors during a post match beatdown of Danny Havoc after his World Title shot. Drake dubbed himself "The Golden Boy", while turning his back on the fans of Germany. Drake Younger will address his actions in Germany, and last month in South Philly at the Arena, this Saturday at Night of Infamy.
On Sunday, TOD vs. Gorefest lived up to the hype and provided the sickest deathmatch Tournament in European history! Nick Gage delivered on his promise to massacre Adam Polak, and bring not just the ULTRAVIOLENT UNDERGROUND Title, but also the TOD vs. GOREFEST Championship home with his victory over MASADA in the NRBW Finals. Nick Gage will return to South Philly on November 13th at Night of Infamy, where he will address his International Cage of Death Challenge from Big Japan.
In addition, several big matches have been signed for this SATURDAY's CZW homecoming to the Arena in South Philly. Among those are two special Junior Heavyweight Showcase Matches which will help to determine the junior landscape as CZW pushes towards 2011. In the first, fan favorite AR FOX will go one-on-one with the very bitter, very angry ALEX COLON. In the second showcase, TYLER VERITAS will go one-on-one with the returning JONATHAN GRESHAM. Both men are in need of a big victory, and this will be their chance to take the next step towards of the CZW Junior Division.
Also on Saturday at CZW's return to South Philly, we will finally see the debut of the man known as "the Warrior". There has been much speculation as to the identity of the man in question, and this Saturday, the world will find out as he reveals himself in his debut for the Combat Zone.
Also announced on Saturday was WXW's 2011 return to the United States! The details for the events are as follows:
