Cyndi Lauper and Jackson Browne have performed an emotional duet at a John Lennon tribute concert in New York.
The singers performed a cover of The Beatles' 'A Day in the Life' at a one-off charity concert to mark Lennon's 70th birthday.
According to Contact Music, Lauper told the crowd at the Beacon Theatre that she and her sister would often pretend to be Lennon and Paul McCartney as they grew up.
Yoko Ono sent a video message on the night, saying: "John would have loved what you are doing".
Patti Smith also performed during the concert, with all proceeds going to the Playing for Change Foundation, a charity which promotes peace with music.
