This week, it appeared that we would have a slight deviation from the norms set by the WWE’s ‘flagship’ show with a three hour episode, but with the addition of an ‘Old School’ theme to it, the two forces might have converged and neutralized any irregularities.

The numbers for this week’s Ring of Honor show are not included, but as soon as I am able to get the information about that show, I will update the totals for this week.

The only show that had an increase in the average match length and average time per hour was TNA Impact while all of the WWE shows had decreases, with WWE Smackdown showing the greatest decrease in per match average.

Despite having incomplete totals, this appeared to be a typical week in terms of the amount of wrestling, but it includes an extra hour of wrestling from Raw. What wasn’t typical was the lack of long matches with no matches lasting longer than seven minutes. Without including the Ring of Honor totals, we were one match short of equaling the most matches in a week from six shows thanks to seventeen matches from WWE Raw and WWE Smackdown.

A few milestones were reached this week. WWE NXT finally passed the four hundred minute barrier while TNA Impact joined WWE Raw and WWE Smackdown above one thousand minutes. WWE Smackdown reached the two hundred match barrier, joining WWE Raw and TNA Impact.

The Mae Young and LayCool ‘match’ is not included in the calculation for this week’s Raw totals. The Generation Me/Motor City Machine Guns match that was exclusively on Reaction was also not included in these totals.

The wrestling times below cover the wrestling that takes place during the show so commercials are not included. All times are rounded to the closest minute (examples: a 4:23 match will be listed as 4 minutes while a 4:32 match will be listed as 5 minutes and anything under a minute is rounded up to a minute).
