The Atlanta Journal-Constitution covered the death of Lucha Libre USA star Chris "Solid" Long, confirming reports that Long was shot and killed after he and other bouncers removed three patrons for the club they were working at.
It was believed that when the men returned, they targeted Long, who they shot and killed. Two other bouncers were injured in the shooting and hospitalized. There was no word on leads in the case in the piece.
The article features comments from LLUSA head Steve Ship, who commented, "[Long] lived for pro wrestling. He was very loved by the fans. He was a bigger-than-life character, both on TV and in person.”
Long, under his Solid persona, was scheduled to take part in the 12/12 LLUSA tapings in New Mexico.
