WWE Purges Creative Team With Multiple Dismissals

Christopher DeJoseph was not the only member of the World Wrestling Entertainment creative team let go last week. Although we are still working on the names of the writers who were dismissed, we've confirmed that WWE let an additional 2-4 writers go.

The writers were dismissed because company management was unhappy with the results of the last quarter financially and the decision was made to purge the writers and bring in fresh blood with new ideas.

As we noted when word came out that DeJoseph was released, the company has been actively scouting for new writers in the last several weeks.

It's about damn time! It had become pretty obvious over the last several years that things were getting worse and worse creatively. Aside from a handful of good unique storylines, they haven't come up with much. It is a good idea to bring in new talent and see what they come up with. The PG rating shouldn't affect good television product.

I hope they hire a mixture of young and older people. They need ideas that relate to younger people nowadays but they also need people that are experienced.
