John Goodman has said that he considers the SAG Award to be among the most prestigious acting prizes.

The actor, who was nominated for his role in the TV film You Don't Know Jack, told CNN that he is honoured to have been recognised by his peers.

Goodman stated: "This nomination is all the more special because it was created and bestowed by my Fellows and Fellowettes."

The actor was previously nominated for a SAG Award in 1995 for his work on the sitcom Roseanne.
