A Californian BASE jumper temporarily avoided arrest by leaping off a 280ft bridge in front of a police officer.
Steve Jester, 46, somersaulted off Bixby Bridge, Big Sur, after the California Highway Patrol officer told him: "Don't even think about it."
His parachute opened and he landed safely on the bridge below, reports the local KSBW news.
A clip of Jester's jump has been posted on YouTube where it has attracted nearly 500,000 hits.
To a soundtrack of Green Day's version of I Fought The Law, the video shows Jester leap after telling the police officer: "I'm under arrest anyways. I'm sorry, I've got to do it."
The law later caught up with Jester who was charged with trespassing, resisting a police officer, driving under the influence of drugs and alcohol and possession of marijuana while driving.
