Tim Sylvia (28-6) officially has replaced fellow UFC vet Todd Duffee (6-1) and now meets "The Ultimate Fighter 10" cast member Abe Wagner (6-3) in the headliner of next month's Titan Fighting Championships 16 event.
Sources close to the bout today told MMAjunkie.com bout agreements have been signed.
Additionally, officials from HDNet, which broadcasts the event live, have approved the switch.
TFC 16 takes place Jan. 28 at Memorial Hall in Kansas City, Kan. It's the first Titan event slated for an HDNet broadcast.
Duffee surrendered the spot after he stepped in as a late addition to Friday's DREAM "Dynamite!! 2010" event, where he meets Strikeforce heavyweight champion Alistair Overeem in a interim-heavyweight-title bout.
Sylvia, a former UFC heavyweight champion, has posted a four-fight win streak since his disastrous nine-second loss to boxer Ray Mercer in September 2009. The wins have come over Strikeforce vet Jason Riley, Mariusz Pudzianowski, UFC/Strikeforce vet Paul Buentello and, just a few weeks ago, Vince Lucero.
Wagner, meanwhile, has made one appearance since his turn on "The Ultimate Fighter 10," a heavyweights-only season of the reality show on which he was knocked out in the preliminary round by Madsen. In February, he took on Travis Browne in a regional event and was knocked out in eight seconds. Not long after that, Browne was awarded a UFC contract.
