When Jeff Hardy pleads guilty to his drug charges on 1/20, it will be part of a plea bargain negotiated with the Moore County Prosecutor's office, according to The Southern Pines Pilot.

"We anticipate a resolution of this matter in January," Hardy's attorney, Jeff Van Camp, told the newspaper.

District Attorney Maureen Krueger told the newspaper that that the agreement would include a guilty plea to "one or more of the drug charges" Hardy faces and that the agreement includes a sentencing agreement. There is a chance that the court could reject the agreement, but that isn't considered likely.

Hardy was arrested in September 2009 at his home and charged with felony possession of cocaine, felony drug trafficking of opium, two counts of felony possession with intent to redistribute a Schedule III controlled substance, maintaining a dwelling for drug use and/or distribution and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia.

Cop a guilty plea on possession and possibly for owning a dwelling for drug use, plead non guilty to the serious trafficking charges and in return get a lenient sentence.

North Carolina newspaper The Pilot reports that TNA World Heavyweight Champion Jeff Hardy will enter a negotiated plea 1/20, according to his attorney, James Van Camp.

"We anticipate a resolution of this matter in January," Van Camp said earlier this month at an administrative session of Moore County Superior Court.

Moore County District Attorney Maureen Krueger said that Hardy will plead guilty to one or more of the charges he faces.

Krueger did not disclose details of the state's plea offer but said it will include a sentencing arrangement.

The Pilot reports that the plea would have to be approved by the court. A judge may refuse to accept a plea arrangement involving a negotiated sentence.

County deputies raided Hardy's home on September 11, 2009 after Fayetteville police received a tip about drug use there. He was arrested on charges of trafficking in controlled prescription pills and possession of anabolic steroids, after a search of his residence yielded 262 Vicodin prescription pills, 180 soma prescription pills, 555 milliliters of anabolic steroids, a residual amount of powder cocaine, and drug paraphernalia.

I'm wondering if child services will get in on this thing once he's convicted...

As previously reported, TNA Champion Jeff Hardy will make his next court appearance on January 20th and will reportedly enter a guilty plea as it pertains to the drug charges he faces.

We have learned via Hardy's attorney James Van Camp that he will enter a negotiated guilty plea on the date of his next court appearance. Moore County District Attorney Maureen Krueger confirmed this news, stating that Hardy would plead guilty to one of more of the drug charges against him, but declined to comment on details of the state's plea offer. Krueger did, however, state that the offer would include a sentencing arrangement of some sort.

Regardless, Hardy's plea will have to be approved by the court itself. The judge presiding over the case also has the option to refuse to accept the plea arrangement due to it involving a negotiated sentence if he chooses to do so.
