Avril Lavigne is the latest celebrity to be rumoured to have died as part of an online hoax.
Notorious prank website Global Associated News released a news story which claims that the singer was killed in an accident earlier today.
"Musician Avril Lavigne is reported to have died shortly after a snowboard accident earlier today," the report reads, according to Gossip Cop.
The website claims that the report is completely untrue, and cites a number of other occasions upon which Global Associated News has falsely reported celebrity deaths in recent weeks.
