Former TNA personality Bubba the Love Sponge ripped Sirius XM for slashing the salaries of on air talent to The Hollywood Reporter. The article noted that Bubba and the satellite radio provider ended up going their own separate ways after Bubba refused an 80% pay cut of $200,000 down from $1 million. Bubba blamed the provider hiring too many big name stars to have shows, commenting, "I don't have any business on a movie set, and actors don't have any business behind a radio mike. You Hollywood f---s stay out of radio, and we'll stay out of Hollywood." I guess TNA doesn't count as Hollywood? You can read the entire article, in which Bubba does make some good points about hiring big name stars and paying them a ton when they have no experience at the role, at this link. While I agree with Bubba completely on his stance here, I also think there will be some who find it ironic, as he was on the other side of the coin a year ago when he was brought into TNA as part of Hulk Hogan's crew, something that it seemed the majority of wrestling fans never took to.

Jessie Godderz of CBS' Big Brother fame, who's had some TNA tryouts in the past, started training at the Team 3D Wrestling Academy in Florida this week. That has to be seen as his next step towards breaking into the company, which he's obviously been aiming for.

The main event of this Friday's live event in Westbury, Long Island has been changed to TNA champion Jeff Hardy vs. Ken Anderson vs. Matt Morgan.

Matt Morgan was profiled by FOX affiliate KHON in Honolulu, Hawaii for an excellent personality piece on Morgan's time living on the Islands while playing college basketball and his wife, who he met there. Morgan discussed his time in WWE and that fans today want someone they can believe in watching, as opposed to someone just reciting a script The article noted that he's signed with the "upstart" TNA promotion and noted he's been there for several years.
