The following is the final official line-up for this Saturday's UFC 62 "Liddell vs. Sobral" pay-per view event, emanating from the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas, Nevada:

Live PPV Fight Card:

-Chuck Liddell (c) vs. Renato "Babalu" Sobral (UFC LHW Title)
-Forrest Griffin vs. Stephan Bonnar
-Cheick Kongo vs. Christian Wellisch
-Hermes Franca vs. Jamie Varner
-Nick Diaz vs. Josh Neer

Pre-PPV Preliminary Card:

-Wes Combs vs. Wilson Gouveia
-Cory Walmsley vs. David Heath
-Rob MacDonald vs. Eric Schafer
-Yushin Okami vs. Alan Belcher

Notes:

*No longer will the main event be pivotal in the mega champion versus champion bout pitting Chuck Liddell as UFC's champ fighting PRIDE's champ in the same weight class, Vanderlei Silva. UFC president Dana White recently confirmed that despite making the bout announcement at the UFC 61 PPV, he will not be able to put the fight together due to negotiation issues with PRIDE management.

*The Forrest Griffin vs. Stephan Bonnar fight, for those who don't know, is a rematch of one of the best UFC fights in history - and clearly one of the important fights in helping the explosion of the sport in America. The two first fought in the finals of the first ever Ultimate Fighter reality show, which resulted in a three round war on live television (Spike TV) which at one point had ten million people watching.

*Nick Diaz is in to replace Thiago Alves, who was scheduled to fight Josh Neer but was forced off the show due to injury.

*David Terrell was originally slated to fight Yushin Okami, but was replaced due to injury.

I was looking forward to that fight more than any other upcoming fight. I cant belive that White would make a huge announcement like that before he had the details worked out. Maybe he buckled under the pressure of trying to figure out how to calm the fans down after the Ortiz/Shamrock fight and made a bad decision to announce it early.
