“DARK DAYS” AHEAD
First show of new year to feature former ECW star, more
The east coast’s number one independent wrestling company Warriors of Wrestling returns in the new year with “Dark Days”. The event takes place on January 22nd at Funstation USA (3555 Victory Blvd.) in Staten Island. The first show of W.O.W.’s fourth year is shaping up to be huge. “If this is any indication of what year four has to offer, trust me when I say you can’t afford to miss anything this year,” said Commissioner Joe Miller. “Looking at the card, it truly seems like a night of main events.”
Keeping with tradition, Warriors of Wrestling officials have deciding to bring in yet another former ECW star in Axl Rotten. The “Hardcore Chair Swinging Freak” will take on none other than Jasin Karloff. Considering that Karloff’s last ECW alum opponent was Tommy Dreamer (who hasn’t been seen here since), it is difficult to say who the underdog in this match is. All we do know is that both men will be coming to Staten Island looking to stake their claim… Rotten as a returning hardcore icon, and Karloff as the wrecking machine of W.O.W.
Newly crowned Warriors of Wrestling Heavyweight champion Lucifer Darksyde makes his first title defense on January 22 against former champion Jason Kross. Kross was able to get himself the contract for this match prior to the changing of commissioner from Nephtali Rodriguez to Joe Miller. Darksyde has defeated Kross in the past…and has yet to be pinned in the company’s history. However, Kross has found new bedfellows with Rodriguez’s Syndicate. What kind of role will that play in the outcome of this match?
After splitting from his former tag partner Antonio Rivera, W.O.W. fans have seen an extreme attitude change from Tony Torres. He is as cocky as ever, and by the looks of things, he hasn’t even reached his own limit. Things have gotten so crazy that he has offered to put his career on the line against Rivera in a Loser Leaves Town Match. Warriors of Wrestling officials have decided to take Torres at his word and booked both men in this match. On January 22nd, either Tony Torres or Antonio Rivera will make his last appearance for the company as both men do battle to end the career of the other.
