As you probably heard, Shawn Michaels is the first announced inductee for the 2011 WWE Hall of Fame ceremonies this April. I was told that he was brought into Raw and announced to push the ticket sales for the ceremony, since WWE has booked the Phillips Arena for the ceremony. While the Arena will be scaled down, they will have to fill several thousand seats. The last time they booked an Arena for the Hall (Steve Austin's induction), they didn't sell out.
WWE did a great job keeping the announcement and surprise under wraps as a lot of people in Stamford who are usually clued in didn't even know until Michael showed up on TV.
The song for the excellent Michaels music video last night was "Chances Are" by Five for Fighting. We had a ton of emails asking and I want to thank JT Tuplin and John Martinuk for their help.
Michaels has signed a deal to do a series of signing appearances at World of Wheels Auto Shows:
2/12 from 1-4pm at the Indy State Fairgrounds in Indianapolis, IN.
2/20 from 1-4 PM at the Dallas Market Hall in Dallas, TX from 1-4pm.
2/27 from 1-4 PM at The Cobo Center in Detroit, MI.
