JAMES Franco doesn’t think he’ll win an Oscar — which is why he agreed to host the ceremoney.
The actor is expected to pick up a Best Actor nomination this week for his role in 127 Hours meaning he will be host and contender come awards night on February 27.
But Franco admits he isn’t so sure.
“When I was offered the chance to host nobody thought it was a good idea because they wanted me to win,” admits James.
“But I think people like their British dramas (The King’s Speech) and Colin Firth is going to win so it looks like I made the right decision.”
Franco recently admitted he made his own sex tape when he was 19.
“I think if anybody who has made a home sex tape knows, what feels best doesn’t always look best,” he said.
“I remember when I was 19 doing that, and then watching it back and thinking, ‘Oh, that looks horrible.’ You have a lot of respect for those actors in pornography, because they are really not just doing it, they’re really selling it.”
