East Anglia was revealed as the most romantic region, with 45 per cent of residents describing themselves as either very or hopelessly romantic.
Wales and Scotland came in joint second with 44 per cent.
The North East was the least loved-up area, with three out of ten saying they were no more than an occasionally romantic, and one in ten claiming to be completely unromantic.
