JOAN Rivers has spoken out to diss Christina Aguilera after the singer fluffed her lines while singing the US national anthem at the Super Bowl yesterday.
Christina was given the prestigious task of performing the Star-Spangled Banner to open the proceedings ahead of the NFL showpiece game in Texas but shocked onlookers with her mistake.
Instead of the correct line “O’er the ramparts we watched, were so gallantly streaming?” the 30-year-old singer repeated an earlier line with a slight variation, singing “What so proudly we watched at the twilight’s last gleaming.”
And Joan — who starred in a Super Bowl commercial for an internet company — isn’t amused!
“How stupid can you get?” Rivers told PopEater.
“Christina must have been thinking about food, that’s why she forgot the words.
“She’s gotten so big. She looks like she could eat Lady GaGa. Great way to get rid of competition.”
