Apprentice USA honcho Donald Trump has turned his catchphrase on his own co-star - telling her: "You're fired!"
The billionaire mogul was reportedly fed up with blonde TV sidekick Carolyn Kepcher's increasingly diva-like behaviour since landing a leading role in his TV hit.
And in the fashion all his TV fans would expect from him, he fired her from the show and all her roles in his business interests, according to U.S. reports.
He has already replaced her on his TV show - with his daughter Ivanka, according to the reports.
"She became a prima donna," said one insider.
"Being on the Apprentice went to her head.
"She thought she was a freakin' movie star.
"Trump told her what she had to do was take some time off and spend it with her family, and then get another job."
The 36-year old sidekick, who in addition to her role on the show ran the Trump National Golf Club in posh Westchester County north of New York City, was fired earlier this week, according to the U.S. reports.
Sources say Trump grew infuriated with her after she appeared to be spending more time giving speeches and working on product endorsements than on her business and TV dealings with him.
One of the final straws came when Trump said he needed her - and she instead went off to make a speech.
Kepcher is married and has a son, Connor, 6, and a daughter Cassidy, 4. When The Apprentice launched in January 2004 Trump said Kepcher was "very firm, very tough, very smart, very shrewd and has good judgement".
Her website claims Trump considers her a 'killer' businesswoman "best exemplified by his promoting her to the top ranks of the Trump Organization almost immediately."
Trump had no comment and Kepcher could not be reached for comment.
Calls made to NBC Universal, the makers of The Apprentice, were not immediately returned.
