AUSTRALIAN actress Melissa George will star alongside Hollywood heart-throb Josh Hartnett in an upcoming blockbuster.
George, who rose to fame playing street kid Angel on the long-running Home & Away, will feature in the David Slade-directed 30 Days Of Night.
Filming of the vampire flick, which is based on the comic book of the same name, has begun in New Zealand.
George told Vogue magazine how she dealt with various setbacks, and what she believes ultimately allowed her to shine in Los Angeles.
The actress also makes her first appearance as the coveted cover girl for Vogue's October issue.
Making the photo shoot an all-Australian affair, George was photographed by leading Australian photographer Richard Bailey in the Hollywood home of Australian make-up artist Napoleon Perdis.
