Jon Olav Einemo is the newest member of the UFC heavyweight roster.

The organization has officially signed the Norwegian big man, a UFC official confirmed with MMA Fighting on Monday. No word just yet on the exact terms of the deal and when he will debut inside the Octagon.

As MMA Fighting first reported last month, the UFC and Einemo have been in serious talks for several weeks.

Einemo, a 35-year-old, who improved his MMA record to 7-1 in June 2010, made his MMA debut in 2000 and won his first five fights in a row in the first round. He lost his first fight to Fabricio Werdum at PRIDE 31 in 2006. After defeating James Thompson later that year, Einemo abruptly left MMA. However, he returned last summer to defeat Kresimir Bogdanovic in Bosnia.

Einemo is a member of Team Golden Glory and is the only man to defeat multiple-time BJJ champion Roger Gracie in the Abu Dhabi Combat Club tournament. He went on to finish first at the 2003 ADCC tournament after beating Gracie in the semi-finals of the 88-98 kg weight division.
