- Former WWE writer John Piermarini revealed on his Twitter that Brodus Clay was originally going to be Ted DiBiase’s bodyguard back when he was looking for a new Virgil last year. It looks like Clay will be siding with his NXT mentors Alberto Del Rio and Ricardo Rodriguez now.

I like how Piermarini keeps making these inside comments.. It's really good to hear all of these comments regarding the current stars of today. It's a shame to see how unpushed Ted DiBiase actually is, compared to what he looked like he was going to be doing last year, only for him to suddenly be depushed because of the lack of creative ideas for him (Piermarini has said that DiBiase isn't being pushed because Vince feels that thr "Money" gimmick won't work with Ted, because Ted Sr is a better wrestler, and he has no other ideas relating to DiBiase Jr).
