Ring of Honor's decision to change the belt to Eddie Edwards tonight caught a lot of people by surprise and at one point Edwards' name was trending worldwide on Twitter. The title change had been planned for some time but was kept very, very quiet to the point only a few people were aware of the plans. Edwards and former champion Roderick Strong had an excellent match, which will be certainly worth going out of your way to see.

After his frightening looking bump after a shooting star press went awry during the finish of his match against Christopher Daniels, Davey Richards was extremely upset but was OK.

The Dirty Rotten Scoundrelz were backstage in both Boston and NYC.

The ROH crowd was down somewhat from the usual turnaway sellouts, which was likely due to the earlier start time and UFC and WWE being in the area the same night.

The next ROH event in NYC is 6/26 at the Hammerstein Ballroom. The promotion is running the larger Hammerstein as there were no available dates for the Grand Ballroom upstairs. Jim Cornette's promo announcing the date pushed that it would be a huge card for the company. Charlie Haas and Shelton Benjamin are scheduled for the event.

ROH will return to the ECW Arena on 6/25.
