MAGNUS CEDENBLAD VS. RAFAEL NATAL BOOKED FOR UFC ON FOX 6 IN CHICAGO
BY JOHN MORGAN ON NOV 27, 2012 AT 7:00 PM ET

A middleweight matchup between Swedish prospect Magnus Cedenblad (10-4 MMA, 0-1 UFC) and Brazilian import Rafael Natal (14-4-1 MMA, 2-2-1 UFC) is the latest addition to UFC on FOX 6.

MMAjunkie.com today confirmed with sources close to the fighters that verbal agreements are in place and bout agreements are expected to be finalized shortly. UFC officials later confirmed the booking.

UFC on FOX 6, the UFC's first network-televised event of 2013, takes place Jan. 26 at United Center in Chicago.

The main card, including a title fight between featherweight champion Demetrious Johnson and challenger John Dodson, airs on FOX, and FX and Facebook are expected to carry the prelims. Cedenblad vs. Natal likely will be part of the prelims.

Cedenblad brought a seven-fight win streak into his UFC debut at this past April's UFC on FUEL TV 2 event in his moe country of Sweden, where he looked strong against Francis Carmont in the opening round before ultimately falling victim to a rear-naked choke in the second frame. The defeat was Cedenblad's first since 2009.

Meanwhile, Natal returns for the first time since a July loss to Andrew Craig at UFC on FUEL TV 4. Natal appeared to be well on his way to victory before a Craig head kick secured the Texas an incredible come-from-behind for the Texan. The result snapped a two-fight winning streak for "Sapo," who had opened his octagon run with a loss to Rich Attonito and a draw against Jesse Bongfeldt.
