Grey's Anatomy heartthrob Patrick Dempsey is to become a father for the second time, his publicist confirmed today.
The 40-year-old actor and his wife Jillian, who wed in 1999, already have a four-year-old daughter Talulah.
Now the couple are expecting again.
"Me and my wife Jillian are very excited to expand our family," Dempsey told the New York Daily News.
Make-up artist Jillian is the actor's second wife. From 1987 to 1994 he married actress Rocky Parker. He tied the knot for the second time on July 31, 1999.
Dempsey plays Dr Derek Shepherd, better known as hunky Dr McDreamy to his female colleagues on the hit medical drama.
He is also working on 2007 Disney film Enchanted and has replaced Jason Marsden for the voice of Kenai in Brother Bear 2.
