I liked the era of wrestlecrap that vince ran w/before attitude. In the days of Duke the dumpster Drose, Baston Booger, Doink the Clown, and other horribly gimmicked wrestlers. Papa Shango, phukright!

i would have to say the early to mid 80's. its when i started watching, just as hulkamania was starting, the whole mtv/rock n wrestling thing. Sitting back on a saturday and watching wwf, awa, nwa from 10am-2 in the morning. Watching the so called legends of today, either emerging as rising stars, or in their true prime.

Right after we moved out of the Attitude Era, wrestling was clutch. That's when you had the big pushes for Jericho and Angle and wrestlers were not so concerned with being badasses, so you actually had some different personalities on the roster. During the attitude era, everyone was just trying to see how many times they could say hell, ass, or damn during a promo.

definitely the attitude era, the greatest stable of all time, DX was on top, the good guys were still there, and the rock didnt go hollywood yet.

My personal favorite era of professional wrestling was the period of 1997-2001. The storylines and competition between wCw and WWE were outstanding and should not be forgotten.

I say early attitude era, around 1997-1998, possibly creeping into 1999. I say this not for what WWE offered, which was undoubtedly good (minus the SS Screwjob), but because at this point every company was doing quite well. WWE was approachig its peak, WCW was nearing the end of its peak, but still doing well, and ECW was also at its peak. Wherever you turned there was good wrestling, good storylines, good everything. 1998/1999 was wrestling as a whole's best period IMO.

My favorite has to be the 1995-Early 2000's era where ECW, WCW, and WWF at the time were at war and putting on some great shows.

It's hard to deny the Attitude Era, that pretty much elevated professional wrestling to what it is today. But, I also love Bret vs. HBK, gotta love that Ironman match!

The atttitude era from 1997-2000 was a great moment in wrestling, I've written an article about this era, but has failed to reach noticed on this site. Nonetheless, those in my book are the glory days of wrestling, feuds like Austin/Bret, Bret/HBK, Rock/Austin, McMahon/Austin, DX, and the like made this time so entertaining and energetic that I don't believe in the future of this sport there will ever be an era as hot as this.

My second favourite era would be TNA 2006, storytelling was great, storylines were good, and booking was at its peak. I like the way it was old school with a fresh breath at the same time. THe whole Sting/Jarrett feud topped it of and Christian finding his heel roots was another thing that made this short lived era special.

Attitude era will always win, nWo, Wolfpac, D-X best stables ever, all feuding and causing havoc at the same time
