If you noticed on WWE.com, WWE made two separate announcements regarding the signing of Henry O. Godwinn, and the signings of Marty Jannetty, Rodney Mack and Brad Armstrong. There's actually a good reason for that.

Apparently, Jannetty, Mack and Armstrong have actually been signed to "coaching" deals. It doesn't look like they'll be full-time, all-out "WWE Superstars" right away. The three veterans will teach the younger wrestlers the ropes prior to shows. They might also work house shows and television from time to time. The key phrase in the announcement on WWE.com regarding their signings is that they "MAY also have the opportunity to join WWE fulltime." They're not full-timers just yet. For the time being, it looks like they'll just be part-time stars who put over younger wrestlers, quite like Norman Smiley's deal TNA.

As far as Henry O. Godwinn is concerned, it looks like he came away with the best deal out of the quartet. He will immediately be a full-time "WWE Superstar" and he won't be coaching the younger wrestlers either. Also, Godwinn could actually be in line for a push and not just be used as a tool to put over other wrestlers. He's the only one out of the four veterans signed who looks to have a distinguished, full-time role with the company, at least initially. The other three veterans will have to prove themselves to land a full-time role with the company on the level of Godwinn's.
