A pair of titles will be on the line in May at Cage Warriors 54.

Middleweight champion Jesse Taylor (24-9) will put his belt up against John Phillips (16-5), and two-division champ Conor McGregor will defend his lightweight title against an opponent to be named.

Cage Warriors 54 takes place May 4 at Motorpoint Arena in Cardiff, Wales. Broadcast plans for the event are expected to be finalized soon.

Taylor, a veteran of the UFC, Strikeforce and DREAM who trains at Team Quest in California, won the 185-pound belt at Cage Warriors 51 this past December when he stopped Chris Fields with a second-round rear-naked choke. That win gave him four straight, and five of his past six victories have come by way of choke-out submission.

Phillips, from Wales, should have the home crowd on his side. He'll be returning from a hand injury that kept him out the latter part of 2012. All 16 of his wins have come by stoppage with 13 knockouts and three submissions. In July, he submitted Chris Fields at Cage Warriors 48. That got him a shot at the 185-pound belt, but an injury from the Fields fight kept him out of a bout with Pavel Kusch.

Cage Warriors 54 will also featured the return of Conor McGregor, the first two-division champion in Cage Warriors history. The owner of both the lightweight and featherweight titles will put his 155-pound belt on the line against an opponent that will be announced soon.

McGregor captured the featherweight title at Cage Warriors 51 with a knockout victory over Ivan Buchinger.
