The WrestleMania 30 Location Revealed

Hey Ryan, I just heard on our local radio station that WWE will hold WrestleMania 30 in New Orleans’ Superdome. The station didn’t have many details other than that the PPV will be in the Superdome in 2014, the first time WrestleMania has been held there.

UPDATE: An official announcement is expected around the time of the Elimination Chamber, which will take place in New Orleans.

There are reports that a local radio station in New Orleans leaked the news on Wednesday that WWE's WrestleMania 30 will be held there at the Super Dome. An official announcement from WWE was expected at the Elimination Chamber pay-per-view, also from New Orleans, later this month.

PWInsider reported earlier this week that officials continue to go back and forth on the WrestleMania 30 location and that New Orleans was not 100% official yet.

There are forces within WWE who believe WrestleMania 30 should be held at Madison Square Garden but more people in the company believe that WWE has already set the standard for holding WrestleMania at big stadiums, plus the argument that the New York area is getting WrestleMania this year.

Jim Ross was asked on Twitter if their is any truth to WrestleMania being held in New Orleans next year. "As best I know, that's a rumor at this point. Great city!", replied Ross.

Word is that WWE will be going with WrestleMania XXX instead of WrestleMania 30 after all. There had been an internal debate about which to use since XXX has pornographic connotations.
