Angel Medina aka Angel of the Baldies in ECW won the Hardcore Roadtrip championship in a tournament on 3/2, defeating Kid Kash and 2 Cold Scorpio in a Three-Way Dance.
As it turned out, Sabu never made it to the shows. He started his day trying to get over the border to Canada but was turned away due to not having working papers. He then drove to Detroit hoping to get over the border but wasn't able to make that happen. So, Sabu flew all the way across the United States, then drove from Buffalo to Detroit to not work. Hell of a rough day for him.
We are told that the promotion was very up front with the live crowd about the changes made by all the talents pulling out. As it turned out, they did pull the plug on the iPPV.
