WrestleMania 29 and the following Monday Night Raw have been complete successes.
Not only has there been a record set for Metlife Stadium, the next night's fan reaction was out of this world.
It's almost as if the post-Mania Raw is as important as the Show of Shows itself.
The WWE really lives by its moniker of "Anything can happen," doesn't it?
On the WrestleMania 29 pre-show, The Miz met and defeated reigning Intercontinental Champion Wade Barrett by submission, using the "Figure-Four" leg lock.
This not only marked his second reign as champion but also allowed him to be 4-0 on the grandest stage of them all.
Yes, in WWE records, the Awesome One is undefeated at the huge event and one must not confuse dark matches with pre-shows. There is a difference.
What seemed to have been the beginning of a sweet revival for Miz quickly turned to sour grapes as on the following night on Raw, Barrett received his rematch and pinned his opponent to reclaim the strap.
Now, all appears to be disastrous for the must-see Superstar.
How will he bounce back from this? Is this beyond repair?
Honestly—no, it is not. In fact, it is a true sign this unique character is set to follow in the footsteps of past greats like Edge and Chris Jericho.
Remember that both Y2J and the Rated-R Superstar have held IC titles in the past and some of those reigns were not that much longer than Miz's.
So before anyone counts this survivor out, it would be best to keep track of history and take note that falling two steps down may serve as a way to jump three steps up.
WWE rarely decides on something just like that. Everything happens for a reason.
This can be a great way to rebuild the almost-ruined Wade Barrett character and the legitimacy of the Intercontinental belt, who greatly deserves to be treated better.
It will also serve as a way to push The Miz back up into world title contention.

Dolph Ziggler is now the World Heavyweight Champion. Once this whole Alberto Del Rio nonsense is behind him, it will be time to carry on with the rivalry he developed in 2012 with The Miz.
There are very interesting times ahead for both characters but make no Miz-take about it, 2013 is going to be a very prosperous year for the Chick Magnet.

Will Antonio Cesaro finally drop the strap to him? Will those two titles be unified with Miz, the one to hold all the gold?
