Rumors have been circulating the internet for months that there may be a chance of a “Friends” reunion in the near future.

Good news for all you “Friends” fans out there… NBC just confirmed it is indeed happening according to Star Media. Not only are they having a reunion but they are reportedly having a full comeback season.

The new season of “Friends” is set to launch in 2014 yet it is still unknown whether all of the original actors will be returning to reprise the roles that made them all famous.

How great would it be to see Rachel, Monica, Joey, Phoebe, Chandler and Ross all back together again? We hope it happens.

'Friends' reunion rumours quashed by NBC insiders

Renewed speculation of a Friends reunion has been dismissed by NBC insiders.

Claims that the network had commissioned a revival to debut in 2014 have also been denied by studio Warner Bros, The Huffington Post reports.

An NBC source additionally told E! Online that rumours of a reunion were "not true", after the initial report sparked a frenzy across Twitter on Tuesday evening (April 16).

A second network insider added that while a potential reunion had been "talked about", there has been no "forward motion" on such plans.

The sitcom's executive producer Kevin S Bright argued last year that there was no reason for a Friends reunion and also dismissed talk of a movie, saying that the programme was originally "made to be an intimate show in your living room".

Friends originally aired between 1994 and 2004 on NBC in the US and Channel 4 in the UK, and propelled its central cast - Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, Matthew Perry and David Schwimmer - to international fame.
