First making its debut in September of 2012, the Three Man Band, better known as 3MB, composed of Jinder Mahal, Drew McIntyre and the band's "leader" Heath Slater, has yet to live up to its potential.
Despite the individual capabilities of each Superstar, the union of these three men has unfortunately not been a winning combination.
The rise in stock of the Shield, the WWE's most dominate trio in recent times, as well as the saturation of goofy gimmicks in the WWE's roster (Fandango, Brodus Clay, etc.) has left 3MB in an unfortunate state of limbo until better opportunities open up.
However, there are certain things that 3MB can do shake up its rock star gimmick and rise to the top.
Enter a Real Feud
Since its debut, 3MB has yet to enter any real feud. The members of the "fake" band initially fought against the team that used to refer to itself as "Team CoBro"—Santino Marella and Zack Ryder—but even in a mini-feud, it never grew into anything.
The "logical" choice would be to pin 3MB against the Shield, but with the Shield's recent victories both at WrestleMania and on this week's Raw against The Undertaker and Team Hell No, the Shield stands at a level above 3MB. A feud with these men would only hurt the members of 3MB, but a feud could be used as the catalyst that breaks up the team down the road.
Perhaps an outlandish, though in the end a profitable idea, would be to have 3MB enter a feud with past WWE Superstars who have used music gimmicks (wrestling returning Superstars was how Slater first rose to prominence in the first place).
WWE alumni from the Honky Tonk Man to the Fabulous Freebirds to Chris Jericho and beyond could be brought in to put together a program that finally allows these men to burst into the main-event scene (or at least the upper midcard).

Yes, a three-man band is OK, but what about a four-, five- or even six-man band?
Ever since Tyler Reks' departure from the WWE, Curt Hawkins has been stuck in wrestling limbo. The same can be said of the returning Hunico (back from an injury) and his buddy (bodyguard?) Camacho.
With a plethora of WWE heels stuck without directions, why not create a jobbers supergroup and have them unite against the "good" guys?
The big-band feel worked for Earth Wind and Fire. Who says it can't work for 3MB?
Enter a Feud with a Celebrity
During last year's WrestleMania, the WWE hinted a possible feud between Heath Slater and music star Flo Rida.
The feud never amounted to much, despite a small amount of buzz that gathered around the initial confrontation.
In an attempt to relive the days of the WWE's Rock 'n Wrestling Connection, why not have the company's resident rock stars enter a feud against some real rock stars?
The feud could build up to a match at this year's SummerSlam, where celebrities regularly appear anyways.
Add Some Groupies/Valets
The party rocker gimmick is not one to be taken lightly. With real-life figures like Mick Jagger, Sammy Hagar and many others setting a high standard for what it means to be a rock star, 3MB has been surprisingly disappointing.
The true mark of a rock and roll star is the number of groupies that follow him. With multiple NXT Divas (and some on the current roster) looking for direction in the company, why not have them become the PG version of the Godfather's hoes?
By the looks of it, Rosa Mendes has already been practicing.
Break Up
Despite the multiple paths that 3MB could take, in the end, the best alternative for this team may be to break up. Returning to individual competition may allow these men to rise up the ranks and perhaps capture one of the midcard tiles.
Besides, even if their separation doesn't work, reunion tours are very rock and roll.
