A&E bosses have confirmed the season four renewal of Duck Dynasty, just one day after the season finale garnered almost 10 million viewers. The 9.6 million viewers that tuned in for Wednesday's (24Apr13) season three finale will be pleased with the news that the Robertson family will be back on the small screen for another year. Following the stand-off between the show producers and cast members over salary demands, A&E execs have confirmed that they have reached an agreement and production on the next season is scheduled to begin soon. Wednesday's finale was a ratings hit for the network, and the show has become the most-watched series in A&E's history in all key demos. In fact, Duck Dynasty was the most watched program on both cable and broadcast, even beating out American Idol's performance show.
