Chris Weidman, the No. 1 contender to the UFC middleweight title, is set to begin his camp for a July meeting with Anderson Silva.
"So motivated for this fight," Weidman posted on Twitter late Tuesday night. "Fight camp officially starts Monday! Excited for the opportunity to achieve my dream!"
"The All-American" will face Silva for the UFC middleweight champion at UFC 162: Silva Vs. Weidman on July 6 from Las Vegas.
Weidman (9-0) has won all five of his UFC bouts, including three via stoppage. He defeated Mark Munoz last July, but missed the rest of the year with surgery.
