Here is the official news article.

The Rewari police on Friday booked the manager of World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) star 'The Great Khali' (real name Dalip Singh Rana) for attacking a shopkeeper.

The accused has been identified as Amit Swami, 40, a resident of Rewari who manages the US-based wrestler's events when he visits India.

The case has been registered under sections 148 (rioting), 149 (unlawful assembly), 506 (criminal intimidation) and 323 (voluntarily causing hurt) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).

Ajay Kumar, who has a shop in the main market of Rewari town, lodged a complaint at the city police station, alleging that Swami and others barged into his shop on Thursday evening, dragged him outside and assaulted him.

Kumar said the provocation for the attack was an RTI (Right To Information) application filed by him. He had sought information from the Rewari police about a police claim in a press release that Swami had helped cops catch some proclaimed offenders recently. Kumar had sought precise details of Swami's role in the matter.

The shopkeeper said Swami, a member of the police coordination committee, enjoyed the patronage of a Haryana minister, adding that the accused was misusing his clout with the support of the local police.

Swami claimed that he had no enmity with Kumar. He said the latter's family members had asked him to settle their domestic dispute as Kumar had been troubling them.
