– As noted earlier, Booker T hasn’t been on WWE television recently due to suffering a torn triceps. According to sources, Booker T had surgery and ended up getting an elbow infection. Teddy Long was given a larger role on television in recent weeks as a result. It was described as a “freak injury” and Booker is scheduled to be back on television in his role as the SmackDown General Manager by the end of the month.
– The upcoming WWE SummerSlam PPV on 8/18 in Los Angeles at the Staples Center is officially sold out with the exception of premium seating. This is the fifth year in a row that WWE has held SummerSlam in the Los Angeles market.
