Swansea boss Michael Laudrup's agent has warned the club that they must give him the funds he wants to strengthen the squad, or else risk him leaving.

Sky Sports News understands Laudrup is unhappy with the amount of money he is being given to bring in fresh blood this summer.

And that potentially puts him on collision course with the Swansea board.

Laudrup was a big hit in his first season at the Liberty Stadium, winning the Capital One Cup and finishing in the top half of the Premier League.

Paris Saint-Germain - who expect to lose boss Carlo Ancelotti to Real Madrid - and Benfica are two of eight clubs who have made enquiries about his availability.

His agent Bayram Tutumulu said that Laudrup is happy to stay - provided he is given the opportunity to build a "good team."

"When we expanded the contract of Michael Laudrup, we spoke with the board and the chairman that they're going to make a really good team for Michael," he told the BBC.

"A good team is no problem. If they don't have the possibility of making a good team, I don't know what can happen. Michael needs good players.

"We don't want to have the same experience as Newcastle for example. He told the board and the chairman that Swansea need a very good squad this year."
