The first DVD to feature material from the Watts family library WWE acquired earlier this year has been officially titled "Legends of Mid-South Wrestling". The 3 DVD/ 2 Blu-Ray set will be released on 9/10.

CM Punk will be writing the foreword of Natalie Slater's first cookbook "Bake and Destroy: Good Food for Bad Vegans", which will be released this August. Slater is Punk's former girlfriend who came up with his straightedge heel persona, as she discussed in the CM Punk: Best in the World documentary. The official Summerslam DVD release date is 9/13. The new Triple H DVD set will be released on 9/24.

New WWE developmental signing Smith James will be having his final match before heading to Florida this Saturday for the New York Wrestling Connection in Deer Park, Long Island. James will be teaming with Bill Carr in a double dog collar match against Mikey Whipwreck and Stockade for the NYWC Tag titles. For more on the event, visit www.NYWCWrestling.com.

WWE has posted a cool series of character sketches for past talents, including early versions of costuming for Mankind, Goldust, Max Moon, Shawn Michaels and more at this link (If anyone attends, we are seeking live reports.). A few interesting things to check out. Mankind's original character name (at least in the sketches) was Headcase. Dustin Runnells' character was almost a Cowboy and was almost a "Stargate" inspired Egyptian character. If you look at the sketches for Max Moon, they have Konnan's real name crossed out and replaced with "The Wrestler" after the company and Konnan parted ways, setting up Paul Diamond to work the character instead.

WWE NXT has a live event tonight at the FCW Arena in Tampa, FL.
