UPDATE: WWE NXT has a live event set for tonight at the Palatka Armory in Palatka, Florida. This will be the last event before the WWE Performance Center officially opens.

Naylor’s departure from the NXT creative team was said to be very amicable. He was apparently told that in the future, the door was open for him to come back and work for the WWE. He had many fans in the company and also received a nice send-off over the last week. There was some talk of him going to work in Stamford, but that did not happen as of yet. Dusty Rhodes also wrote the following on Naylor on Twitter:

NXT and all, me most will miss Naylor. Great working with him . Rob will b in charge of my new Blog , new web coming soon .

In addition, Norman Smiley is staying on with WWE developmental. He will be going to Winter Park, Florida with the NXT talents.

Steve Keirn is not making the move to Winter Park, Florida.

ORIGINAL: WWE’s developmental system began breaking down their materials and the rings at the FCW Arena in Tampa, Florida yesterday. All the materials are being taken to Winter Park. Florida for the new WWE Performance Center and will be transported this weekend to the Center for their opening on July 8.

A number of FCW staff will be departing as part of the transition. Rob Naylor, who received high praise working on the creative side of FCW under Dusty Rhodes, is also leaving the company. There have been some conflicting reports that trainer Norman Smiley will be leaving developmental as well.

WWE is set to hold an official grand opening for the Performance Center for invited media only on July 11.
