Manuel Pellegrini will face the media this afternoon for the first time since he was appointed Manchester City manager.

The Chilean, who succeeded Roberto Mancini earlier this summer, will take a strong City squad to South Africa on Wednesday night for his first matches in charge.

But first up is a press conference alongside the club's marquee summer signing Fernandinho - and you can hear what the new arrivals have to say from 1pm on Sky Sports News.

Brazilian Fernandinho has been included in a City squad which is due to play two games on the pre-season tour of South Africa.

Pellegrini's side take on Supersport United in the Nelson Mandela Football Invitational in Pretoria on Sunday.

And that game is followed by a meeting with Amazulu in Durban next Thursday.

David Silva and new signing Jesus Navas have been given permission to miss the tour after helping Spain to the Confederations Cup final in Brazil.

And Argentina pair Pablo Zabaleta and Sergio Aguero will join up with the squad next week after being given extra time off.

Full squad: Hart, Pantilimon, Wright, Johansen, Richards, Maicon, Zabaleta, Kolarov, Clichy, Lescott, Kompany, Nastasic, Boyata, Facey, Milner, Fernandinho, Nasri, Barry, Suarez, Huws, Sinclair, Garcia, Rodwell, Razak, Toure, Aguero, Dzeko, Guidetti, Nimely, Cole.
