Mother ‘tried to sell daughter, FOUR, for sex

A Michigan mother has been charged with offering her 4-year-old daughter for sex to a man she had met on a classifieds website.

Jennifer Brys, 25, and Edward Reardon, 26, were arraigned Wednesday on charges of child sexually abusive activity and using a computer to commit a crime.

According to investigators, Miss Brys, of Warren, placed an ad on Backpage.com last month offering her services as a prostitute.

Reardon answered the ad and offered Brys $300 for sex, but after learning that she had a 4-year-old daughter, police say the 26-year-old man told the woman that he would like to arrange an encounter with the child instead.

Brys and Reardon exchanged text messages indicating that the man was willing to pay between $300 and $500 to shower with the toddler, according to police.

‘To be honest I won’t even wanna do like much with u… I really like her,’ the man allegedly wrote in one message to Brys cited by the station WXYZ.

Police say the 26-year-old asked the mother for a nude picture of the toddler. Brys ended up sending him a clothed photo of her daughter.

‘And he asks her if she knows any other young girls between 7 and 12,’ Warren Police Commissioner Jere Green told the Daily Tribune. ‘This guy clearly was looking for opportunities to be with young girls.’

The disturbing case came to light when the 4-year-old’s father got hold of Brys’ cell phone and looked through her text messages the day before the scheduled encounter.

The father, Aaron Perry, immediately alerted the authorities about the alleged sex abuse plot, asking a 911 operator to dispatch officers to Brys’ home in the 8 Mile Road-Van Dyke area.

In court Wednesday, a haggard-looking Brys told a judge via teleconference that she is does not have a place to live and is not a flight risk.

Reardon, who also attended the hearing remotely, pleaded to be released from jail so that he could contact a lawyer.

The judge ordered the suspects held on $500,000 bond each. They are due back in court November 7.

Investigators say they have a reason to believe that Reardon has targeted other children for sexual purposes.

‘I’m afraid we’re going to open a Pandora’ Box here,’ Green told the Detroit Free Press.

Jennifer Brys’ 4-year-old daughter was unharmed. She was released into the care of her paternal father.

Some people shouldnt be allowed to have kids what so ever.
