Gray Maynard has received a 60-day medical suspension following his first-round technical knockout loss to Nate Diaz at “The Ultimate Fighter 18” finale.
The Nevada Athletic Commission on Monday released a full list of suspensions from the event, which took place at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas on Saturday night. Diaz put “The Bully” away with a short straight left and a relentless barrage of follow-up punches against the cage, forcing referee Yves Lavigne to halt the lightweight bout 2:38 into the opening frame. Maynard is suspended unti Jan. 30 with no contact until Jan. 15.
Meanwhile, Akira Corassani, Drew Dober and Ryan Benoit all face potential six-month suspensions. Corassani suffered a nasal fracture after absorbing an illegal knee that resulted in a disqualification victory over Maximo Blanco; Dober needs clearance for right orbital fractures suffered in a decision loss to Sean Spencer; and Benoit must undergo an x-ray on his left hand following a submission loss to Joshua Sampo. All three men face a minimum of 60 days on the shelf.
