Hulk Hogan WWE return: Contract is in place
WWE

January 14, 2014

After spending the past few years trying to help build TNA Impact Wrestling, Hulk Hogan is finally ready to make his return to the WWE. According to prowrestling.com on Jan. 13, Hogan has a contract in place that he is expected to sign to make his return to the WWE.

Hogan left TNA Impact Wrestling last year and the company used an televised, scripted resignation to explain him leaving the company. Quickly after that, there were false reports that Hogan had a deal in place to return to the WWE, but those were disproved quickly.

Now, it looks like the negotiations between Hulk Hogan and the WWE are finally in place.

The WWE originally planned to announce Hogan's return to the company at the announcement of the WWE Network, but they backed off on that because they didn't want anything to overshadow their big announcement.

The fact that this news came the same day that the WWE announced that The Ultimate Warrior was the first inductee into the 2014 WWE Hall of Fame makes it look like Hogan will be the man who inducts Warrior at the ceremony.

Hulk Hogan passed the torch to The Ultimate Warrior in one of the only title defenses of his career where he fought a fellow fan favorite in the WWE. Warrior won the title and was supposed to help lead the WWE into the next generation but he flamed out quick and ended up in legal entanglements with the WWE for years.

Ultimate Warrior eventually followed Hulk Hogan to WCW for a short feud as well.

There is no word yet on whether the Hulk Hogan WWE return will include some kind of angle for "Wrestlemania 30," but Rowdy Roddy Piper is pushing for some kind of match involving the two men.

Meh. You can only return so many times before people stop caring.

Don't care about him in WWE, but hope he doesn't get much time at WM 30 simply because there are too many other characters who should get their time (Bryan, Punk, Lesnar, The Shield, Taker, Wyatts, Rhodes, ...)

As long as Hogan knows to take a back seat and let the current generation do their thing then I'm fine with it.
I can't imagine Vinnie Mac letting Hogan run wild in his old age, but who knows?
Most likely it is just for the Ultimate Warrior induction, and not much moonlighting otherwise.
