WELCOME TO UNIVERSE OF WRESTLING FORUMS!

FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO ARE NEW TO MESSAGE BOARDS, I WOULD LIKE TO SHOW YOU A TUTORIAL ON HOW TO USE OUR SITE. THERE WILL BE PICTURES BELOW OF DIFFERENT PARTS OF THE SITE

http://i61.tinypic.com/148gnxj.jpg

1 - SHOUTBOX - When you are registered with our site, you are able to use our shoutbox to talk instantly with our members. You can use different colors as well as our large database of smilies. You will see a small green light, then you will see a color box - you can click the color box to choose your color. The boxes next to it are B which is Bold, U-Underline, and I-Italics. Then you will see a smiley face. Click on the smiley face to open up our vast selection of different smilies.

2 - FORUMS- These are the major sections of the site. They are labeled for a major category, in which sub-forums can be listed below the red titles. When you click on these, you will go to the posts for that section. For example, Announcements and Feedback. When you click on this title, you will go to the posts that are announcements from site members to feedback and suggestions about the forum. We will get to sub-forums, posts and threads a little later in this tutorial.

3 - MY PROFILE - See picture below for reference.
Basically this is your profile that all members can see. Where you see the text box at, you will also see four tabs above it. One is labeled My Activity which shows just a recent list of what has been posted on the site. Then you have Visitor Messages, where members can write a message on your wall, sort of like facebook. You will also see under this tab, under the text box, a list of all the ones who have posted a visitor message on your profile wall. Next, you have the About Me section. This section is usually filled out when you first register, but some people skip it. You can add info such as your age, gender, whats your hobbies, interest, favorite wrestling promotion etc....Then finally, you have a tab called Friends. This shows you which members you have accepted as friends on the site, again like facebook. If you look at the left hand corner of the screen, You will see I have 26 friends. When you go to another members profile, you can select the option under their name if you want to add them as a friend.

4 - SETTINGS - See photo for reference.
When you click on Settings, it will take you to the screen shown in the photo. This is where you can do a few things.
http://i62.tinypic.com/280nnte.png

One - My Messages box. This is where you can view/send private messages from/to other members.
Two - My Subscriptions - this is basically where you can subscribe to different posts that you want to keep updated on.
Three - My Settings

This is where you can edit your profile (about me), you can upload an avatar, and upload a signature/banner, as well as update your account settings, such as email and password. Also, you can see a table labeled Latest Reputation Received. What this means is that when someone likes your post/thread, they can give you what you call reputation points. The longer you are on the site, and the more active you become, the more well known you will become, and hence you will have a good reputation.

Forums and Sub-Forums

Forums are the main sections, and when there are sections that are under the same forum, yet has a different purpose, they are called Sub-Forums.

Inside a Forum/Sub-forum
Here in this photo, you will see the inside of a forum/sub-forum.
There are a few things to point out here.

One - Post New Thread - This will be where you can create a thread. We will go into detail about this a little later on.

Two - You will see Two shades of grey. The darker grey threads are what we call Sticky Threads, which only means these are important threads that will always be at the top of all the other threads.
The lighter grey threads are the regular threads, and are in the order of the latest from the top.

POSTING A NEW THREAD

When you select Post New Thread anywhere in the forum, it will come to this screen.http://i60.tinypic.com/o1l01.jpg

First, you need a title for your post. Please let the title be revelant to what you are posting.
Second, you will see the text box under the title. This is where you can write your message.
Now in your message, there is a couple things you can do to spice up your post.

One, you can change the font, size, and color. Like this

The color box is where you see the large A icon with the color swatch next to it. Right beside it is a smiley face, where you an insert different smilies into your post if you want.

On the second list of icons, you will see "B I U" - all this does is Bold Italics Underline the highlighted words you select.

Next to those icons, you will Right indention, center, and the left. All this does is bring the highlighted text you selected to either the right, center, or the left.

Next icons are
Number bullets

or
Regular Bullets

Then you have increase/decrease
indent

Next we have an icon of a world with a link in front of it. What this does is create a hyperlink for the text you enter in the box that shows up. Or you can do this - [*url]Place url here[*url] remove the stars.

Next is the email button. Then the Unlink button (just highlight the link, and mash this button, and it will unlink your url).

Next is the IMAGE icon. This is where you can insert pictures.

[*img]http://i61.tinypic.com/aazu45.jpg[*img]

Remove the stars and you get this:

Next Icon is the Video Icon. We only allow Youtube matches. [*yt]Youtube code at the end of the url[*YT] (remove the stars).

Next we have Quote icon - this allows you to do this as you select the text, and wrap it with [Quote*]TEXT[Quote*], and it will look like this:

TEXT

You really don't have to use the other icons.

Below the text box, you will see Post Icons. All this does was place whichever one you select next to the TITLE of the post.

Then you will see at the bottom right hand corner "Submit New Thread" and "Preview Post". You can preview your post to see what it looks like before you submit it. Or you can submit it to be posted.
