New TNA World Heavyweight Champion Crowned

Bobby Roode defeated Bobby Lashley on tonight's taped episode of Impact Wrestling to become the new TNA World Heavyweight Champion.

This is Roode's second reign with the World Heavyweight Title. No word yet on when Roode's first defense will be.

TNA President Dixie Carter tweeted about the match:

Who else would? I would rather Roode hold the title as he has been with the company from the start, busting his ass, while Lashley walks in for a paycheck and an ego from his WWE days. Lashley didn't work out with WWE for a reason, all that muscle and no personality, no voice.
